Godsall, based on research, it seems juicing a great method of detoxifying the body of toxins. So if you've recently gotten over the flu, previously had bacterial issues or need to flush out alcohol, juicing replenishes the body with vitamins and minerals. I've never had gas from juicing raw cabbage and I did it for 2 months straight.

But I'd also like to caution that juicing wipes your body clean, so doing it regularly (while your flaring intensely) is not recommended. Occasionally while flaring is okay, if in a maintenance or remission, juice on! I loved it. :)
