Do you mean the c-section is recommended due to fissures?
I'm going to have a c-section with this baby due to the perianal fistula I have (that was not caused by my UC) per my colorectal surgeon's advice. He said that if I tear, even a little bit, I could be left incontinent. My OBGYN was completely on-board with his recommendation.
Other than being aware that you should NOT have any NSAID pain-relievers after the C-section, I don't think your UC will really come into play too much.
Also, I have several friends who have had two C-sections, where the first was due to stalled labor (so they were in labor for many hours prior to the C-section) and the second was a scheduled C-section (so no labor prior). All have said that recovering from the second C-section was a breeze compared to the first, as they weren't completely drained heading into it.
