Steroid Question

Hi Everyone,

My daughter was diagnosed with UC in July of 2011. She ended up spending several days int he hospital last summer on IV steroids and than several month on oral steroids. She has been off them now for almost a year but I swear she still looks swollen. Is this possible?

Ive heard the general rule of thumb is that however long you are on prednisone is how long it takes the side effects to go away. That seems to be the case every time I have had to go on it. Its a slow and frustrating process coming off steroids because so much is happening with your body.
