I'm with Banana Girl on this one! Never too far from the depends!
As far as the carrot dangling goes, however, I think HOPE is always in the back of our minds, hopefully. Being positive is hard on difficult days.
Like OLD Hat, I completed my degree, but it was pretty tough as it has been for everyone on here, I'm sure. I admire those who can keep toughing it out despite the accidents, pain, and DEPENDS!
This is my first year to be at home and not working after 17 years of teaching. I would contintue to teach. . . w/o UC. I loved it. I loved working with the teens, but I'm actually able to get SOME rest and some long-needed PEACE from being at home and trying some of the alternative ideas that you all contribute. I am SO GRATEFUL to all of you for your comments, ideas, suggestions, and most of all support. Reading the tragic case posted tonight sure makes me grateful that I'm as blessed as I am.
HOPE! We all need it! Support from each of you, hearing funny stories gives comic relief to an otherwise depressing illness, and being able to ask what is too darn embarrassing to ask doctors--sure helps me! Thank you ALL! We all are different, with different ideas, and different personalities! That's what makes this so worthwhile!
