nauseated when emptying bowel

anyone get this feeling whilst emptying bowel when flaring. Not sure if it's the awful smell that's coming out of me that's causing it.

Yes, when flaring i have awful nausea...more so when the bms are more formed than diarrhea.

if the smell is realllly bad, you might want to get tested for an "invader" such as c.diff or other bacteria.

Flare poos have a "barn-like" smell sometimes.
Probiotics can definitely help as well as fibre supplelents.

What meds are you on?

Antispasmodics help me (once they kick in).

I also feel extremely nauseous when emptying my bowels as well but have never actually vomited yet. I do keep a bag in the restrooms just in case, but all that nauseousness goes away once I finish my business.

hi quincy, i am on 6mp at highest dose for my weight, doctor is reluctant to push it higher. Also on mesalamine oral, 2.4g. Also on topicals, enemas and suppositories. With the topicals, i feel like they do very little for me, i will continue with them even though.

I have definitely felt this before. If your bm is painful, the pain can cause nausea. Plus, there's some things that can happen with your blood pressure that can also cause nausea.

Whatever the cause, it just sucks!

I feel nauseated almost everytime I go.  A lot of the time I feel wiped out and lay down for a while.  Not sure why it happens.
