I always conceded that Dr. Mercola's website has good information about
health and nutrition but I did not appreciate hawking of what I thought were his overpriced products and supplements. And I don't like that his information is not completely freely available; that you must sign into his website to read it. I still think he may be a mercenary at heart but I must now give him credit for supporting California's Prop 37: Consumers Right to GMO Labeling.
Health advocates are being outspend by over 8 to 1 by large corporate interests. Without Mercola it would be much worse since he contributes over 25 percent of the money in support of the labeling initiative. Big money interests who are against labeling include the usual suspects such as Monsanto but also companies you would least suspect such as Kashi, Silk, and Horizon Organic.
