have had servere ulcerative colitis since i was 8 and it has basically controlled my life since then

my most recent colonoscopy biopsy results shown low grade displaysia

have a consult with a surgeon next week, good riddence colon lol a new beggining i hope

Sorry to hear about the dysplasia but at least it was caught early before it has a chance to morph into cancer yes? Many people have had surgery and are happier for it. Hopefully, you will be one of the lucky ones and you can start your life over with no complications.

  Can you tell me how old you are now? How often do you get colonoscopies and I am so glad they caught it in time. Here's to new beginnings.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I used to be on this forum quite a lot when I was sicker. I have osteoporosis from pred ozone so looking forward to never taking that again and I have a colonoscopy once a year. And to who asked ( sorry im on my phone so it's hard to see, Im 20 years old)

bootstrap just had surgery, and started a blog about it as well, "fighting for it".  It seems to me that those that have had surgery are so happy they did. good luck to you!!
