Hi...good to hear you're doing OK regarding the hurricane. I'm in the prairies, and while we weren't affected by the hurricane, the weather patterns are certainly wonky enough to produce nothing but cloud for the past 2 months (with occasional sun) and crappy weather. Today it snowed, at least it's brighter.
I'd still lean toward the CD diagnosis since you have varying areas of inflammation including the small intestine. That could set you up for resection instead of total colectomy...
I don't know what to suggest regarding the hemmies...it would be best to do the homework and seek feedback regarding the results. I think the least amount of incision would be the best...so either sound promising.
If the fissure is deeper in the anal folds, it could possibly affect/cause the leakage (as well as the hemmies)...did the doc do a swab to check what exactly is in the fluid?
Maybe the supps the doc suggested will help..but there are other meds that could be better and stronger. Rectal rockets for one...there was another member who used them..will have to find out.

I don't know if the estrogen will work but maybe worth a try if in small amounts.
Diltiazem...why were you on it and what can you take instead of it now?
You have so much to deal with...I'm suspecting the hurricane's devastation had a hand in the bleeding...?
Thanks for the update....looking forward to hearing how the visit with the GI goes on Thurs.
