Unfortunately, I work in a law firm but it pays the bills. I see some of the people in this thread are lawyers so I will refrain from posting anything else.

Knock yourself out. There's a reason why I'm looking for other industries! I am not at all the personality type that is cut out to be a lawyer. I'm a generally happy person, I love helping people find the "middle" and mediate their differences rather than being adversarial and just running up legal bills, and I love teaching. I've been looking at things like working toward becoming a judge, teaching law, working for a non profit, or maybe city government.

I don't think you're going to offend anyone with any lawyer remarks...we all know what that industry is (mostly)!

I'm a real life James Bond ... kidding (although the thought of Bond dashing to the nearest bathroom while the villain escapes is funny). Nothing that exciting by any means, as I'm an office worker for a software company. I'm responsible for both Graphic Design (designing brochures, post cards, and webpages) and Technical Writing (writing those software user manuals and online help entries that nobody ever reads) here.

Real estate, however I only show our parcels of land, so I don't show homes. Nothing has sold in two years, so I do really get out and walk property, which is bitter sweet. Always been in a office setting been doing this since 1990

I design hydraulic equipment, pretty easy, yet boring job. I do get to sit at a desk all day, so it works out good if am flaring. Bosses are pretty laid back, so they don't hassle me to much if I need to use the restroom a lot. Thankfully my UC hasn't be so bad that I've had to miss much work, they never take well to me calling off, so glad I haven't had to make it a habit.

I'm  a pediatric social worker; i work in a nursing home for medically fragile children.  It's very humbling and impossible to feel sorry for myself when i see what these kids and their families go through.  I have my own office and a private bathroom is just steps from my office.  My pattern is to just run to the bathroom as needed, which is usually as little as 3x to 10x before lunchtime, rarely afternoons.

I am Executive Director for a small nonprofit boychoir organization. Basically, i am the sole administrator that deals with everything from writing grants and press releases to handling the financials and website ... "a Jill of all trades." I love dealing with 100+ boys in their hormonal years each week (no snark - it's true) and working with their parents. I have a lot of flexibility and my job is sound (no one would be able to take over without a LOT of training). I was diagnosed while in this job and have had nothing but support. I'm lucky!

I work in an office as well. I love when people say "office worker", that pretty much sums up my job. Not real exciting but it pays the bills.

I am retired now. My UC flare led to me quitting my job, but it's not terrible like I was forced to leave something I loved. I hated it. I'm convinced the stress of it completely exacerbated the flare and as long as I was working there I would never have recovered. I thought once I was healthy again maybe I would look for something else, but it turns out I love not working. The downside is of course having only one income but we are able to pay all our bills and I am staying healthy.

I'm a software engineer for a train company. Pretty much sit in front of a computer all day writing code or documents. My boss's girlfriend has Crohn's, so he's very understanding. Even lets me work from home from time to time. Very thankful for this opportunity.

Another IT geek - well I used to be a developer but now I do analysis and manage IT projects for a large airline.  So I sit in front of a computer all day in my little cube.  At least I can see the bathroom door from my cube!  I can work at home when needed too as my boss is pretty understanding about that.

Clearly working for an airline I like to travel whenever I can. And I spend alot of time at the gym, guess those are my two 'passions'!

I am a biology lab manager, mom of 2 and coach to my sons soccer team. I hate working......would love to never leave my house and spend all my time with my kids, but we need the benefits. I am going to have to give up the coaching. Love the kids, but dealing with the parents is stressful, not to mention there are rarely bathrooms at the fields!! I think it is time for me to learn how to say no.

My dream job...win the lotto, set up a non-profit and give the money away to deserving people who are having a hard time making ends meet. How rewarding would that be?

Just started a job 2 weeks ago, working from home as a b2b sales/account rep. My boss, a friend's uncle, is one of the kindest people I've ever met, and is totally understanding of everything.

I had constipation last week and couldn't concentrate on my work. I called him to let him know that I'd try to get through it and accomplish things and his response was "Are you kidding!? Just relax, and feel better for now so you can vote in 2 weeks!"

Not sure how or if this will work out in the longterm, but I really hope it does because working with UC (in "remission" but still somewhat difficult in the AM) is SO much easier to do from the comfort of my own home.
