Blood tests?

My doctor does blood tests on me every two weeks. Currently I'm on 800mg of Asacol 4 times daily.

mattcs...absolutely you should have the stool sample testing done.

And the c-scope. cover all the bases to hopefully get a diagnosis.

When I had those symptoms the only thing my doctor did was schedule a colonoscopy. No blood work or anything. I woke up in the surgery center and he gave me my presciptions.

Does your ins. cover that? Good luck and I am sorry you have to deal with it so young. But you could have years of remission from what I have read on here!

Went to GI today and asked about blood tests. He said as long as my GP takes blood on a reg basis,there was no need for any special test. Humira ? Thought that would need some blood work. He said no. I guess I could have demanded he take blood. Going o GP in a month going to ask him what he thinks. He takes blood all the time.
