Hello all-
These past few days I have experienced fevers, chills, feeling faint, nausea, and extreme shaking. My head overall feels heavy and headache-y, as if it is congested, but my nose is not stuffed up at all. My asthmas has also been worse, as breathing is more difficult. I can not walk straight and have very little balance anymore. I have also been getting bloody noses recently and usually never get them.
I started Remicade treatments a little less than two weeks ago and have experienced many side effects from it. I know a side effect is a weakened immune system. I am also on prednisone and ascol (as listed below) and have started 20mg this week of the prednisone, aso I have been told to wean off of it each week. My stools have been frequent, with urges, but they are formed now that I am on the remicade.
I don't know if these symptoms are related to being sick due to flu season and my weakened immune system, or if this is a side effect of the remicade or prednisone. The last time I couldn't stop shaking was probably when I was first on prednisone, could it just be a side effect of that? I have never experienced fevers or chills before taking remicade. Is this something I should be worried about, or is it something that should pass?
I am taking extra vitamin C and echinacea to try to help me feel better as well as drinking hot tea and soup. Any other tips?
