Hi everyone......new to this forum so bear with me!
Diagnosed UC in 2002, mainly ok but since a right hip replacement last year it has become really unstable. Flares - and extended ones at that - are regular now. Consultant tried perdnisolone - worked the first few times but then I fouind that prolonged use of it had made me insulin resistant...Type 2 diabetic now as well. Max doses (4800mg) of asacol hqaven't eased things.....so I've noe got the salofalk enemas - with the warning that if they do't work, surgery might be the next thing. Has anyone else been told that?
Like many on here I think I am going to have problems with retention.....the advice has been really helpful!
