Hey folks! I recently had a very very mild flare after dipping into spirulina (helped contribute to flare in past) and eating too many cheeseburgers at university (gluten and beef, addictive inflammatory for me).
Was desperate and decided to try VSL 3 mixed with sterilzed room tempurature water. Gave myself one VSL packet up the butt, did some headstands, layed on my side, did some crunches to squeeze it through my intestines... annnnd its working!
Woke up in the morning, went once, had a lil more form to my BM. Went from 5 bathroom trips a day with specks of blood near the end to only going once this morning. And I have a bit more appetite for mashed potatoes, spinach and liver.
Interesting thing is that large intestines feels as calm as the ocean... and as a result, mentally I also feel calm (gut mind axis).
Anyone else have any VSL3 enema luck? Or thought of it?

I've wondered about
VSL used as an enema so thanks for giving your info. Interesting.

I tried but never got any benefit. Tried alot of others too. The FT gave me a short small change, but I think my sons feces were a bit premature.

After seeing mixed but mostly good reports for VSL enemas, I tried it two nights in a row, the first night with a whole packet and the second night with a half, and I couldn't believe the bleeding stopped immediately the first night. This mainly proctitis flare has been going on for months and I was seeing blood every day, and I really wasn't expecting these results. I intended to do it for 5 nights in a row, but I fell asleep early last night, but it seems like maybe it won't be necessary. I don't get how this could be so effective. For those considering fecal transplantation, this could be a good thing to try first. The only thing that I can think of that could be a confound for my results is that I had recently started adhering better to the Cleveland Clinic protocol of omega 3s, fiber, and antioxidants which has worked for me in the past. But this was a sudden improvement--the day before there was bright red blood like I had for most days for weeks prior, and then suddenly none for the past three days. I'm planning on repeating the experiment in the future as a first intervention and see what happens.

i tried the vsl enema for about
a week but i didn't notice any difference. probably a little more diarrhea since there was more water in my colon, but that's it.
