The first thing my doctor said me was:
"If you think you can recover from ulcerative colitis without adjusting your diet and make some sacrifices, you can go home now without even paying me".
And I can say he was completely right. It's stupid to think that diet is not the main problem while you talk about bowel problems.
There are a combination of things he told me to do. The main one is probably to eat proteins only once a day from organic food, because meat, chicken and other source of animal proteins are filled with antibiotics, steroids and crap like that.
Then he told me to stop using cortisone. Obviously, he told me to stop gradually because if you stop taking it in one go, it could be dangerous. He told me "cortisone can do miracles, but in autoimmune diseases it causes more troubles than other".
if you doctor thought food was the MAIN problem, it is stupid to think you doctor is unbiased and the best source of info.
