Pregnant and flaring

I haven't been on here in awhile but as I read through some of the posts I realize how much I've missed this place!

Anyway most of my story is in my signature, but I'm literally only a few weeks pregnant only taking lialda and canasa and I'm totally flaring. I started the brat diet, but if anyone else can give me any advice I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Where was most of your inflammation? What about adding Rowasa retention enema to the mix? HIgher strength than Canasa and covers more ground.

I have a lot of liquid d with some particles of bowels, I have left sided uc, I only have pain when i feel the urgency to go, I noticed blood once today in stool but haven't seen any since. I take 3 lialda at night and canasa 3x since I started flaring. I just saw my gi a few ago...but has gotten worse since up until today because of the holidays i haven't been strict until today

I have left sided uc and when I'm flaring I take 4 Lialda. 2 in am and 2 in pm and I'm on the Rowasa Enemas which I think can cover a larger area then the canasa which are suppositories right? I don't know if a prenatal vitamin would cause irritation like this. I would put in a call to your GI and see what he wants to do at this point. I believe pred is ok for use during pregnancy but I think I would rather use an enema that had a steriod in it before going on pred itself since it has so many side effects. Flaring while pregnant can't be any fun. I hope you can get ahold of your GI and get a plan going so you feel better.

Are you having morning sickness too? I was blessed with three months of hell all three of my pregnancies. The last one was the worst.

I did rowasa like a century ago lol I will give my gi a call and see if he can call that in for me! Thanks! I'm literally like 3 weeks preggo so no pregnancy symptoms yet just positive blood tests lol I did have morning sickness with my son for the first 3 months ugh

Maybe I should try the increases lialda too!
