It's not uncomfortable to me, everyone can do what they want for treatments. However, when it seems that it doesn't work, those people need to do something.

I mean, I assume she tried praying and/or other type of treatments, if that doesn't work, it's time to look at the conventional type of treatments.

At least this lady is making a decision that effects herself. As it disgusts me when I hear about a parent not letting a child receive medical treatment because it goes against the parent's religious beliefs. Sometimes stories like that hit the news and the parent ends up loosing custody and being charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Social darwinism.

My uncle was diagnosed with cancer in his late 50s. It was treatable but he refused and eventually passed away a year or so later. It was hard on his family watching him slowly die when he could have easily been treated. It was his decision. Having said that, no one was dependant on him anymore and he was quite bitter about life to begin with. He lived like a hermit, hardly talking to his children, only living with his wife, so we weren't all that surprised.

When you look into different ideas and opinions on cancer treatment it can give a different perspective. There are plenty of people that believe there are completely natural cures for cancer - one of the well known being vitamin B17. Can the women not look into a natural cure?

I tend not to trust the money making pharma industry because just like the governments that it pays off, it works on misinformation if there's chance of a huge profit. Why find a cure when we're making all this money?

I'm sure she has had people tell her to get treatment, but if she believes she should rely entirely on God (whichever one she chooses to follow), that's her choice.

Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer i think. That's a tough one to treat even if you choose to battle it. Breast cancer can have a very good prognosis. I hope she decides to fight but I understand her feeling like this is "god's" plan and wanting to allow nature to take its course. I don't agree with it, I think we are just animals and disease strikes animals. If you don't do anything, cancer will kill you.

Would she get treatment for strep throat or a parasite or wait for god to handle that? It's ucky she doesn't have a child with a terrible illness, she'd probably let god take care of them too. god must really have it in for me with this IBD and fatigue.

Max: yes, maybe coincidence or maybe her cancer was going to get better without doing anything. maybe the herbs did nothing, maybe they helped. who knows.

To the contrary, some people heal with or without medicine and can go on to having kids just fine. My uncle and aunt both had cancer (one being testicular), they both went on to have beautiful children. 2 kids for my uncle. :)

We all have beliefs whether it's God or any other deity - or none at all. But this is not the place to discuss these things.
