missk, I too found success by going gluten free.
It's not impossible to make delicious breads,
cookies and other baked goods on this diet. There are so many blogs I've found that have recipes.
Always check the ingredients. Underneath, the product should contain an allergen warning label. For example:
Contains: wheat, shellfish, egg, peanut, milk etc. This is the easiest way for me to determine.
There are many hidden sources of gluten to caution: soy sauce, oatmeal, deli meats and seasonings just to name a few. All of which can be found in stores without wheat/gluten.
