Gary, I do not know where you came up with the space alien , etc... analogies from but it would certainly add more value if you at least present a concrete argument to counter ANY one his vs just dismissing the entire presentation as "Slick Sales Stuff"

From the parts of the presentation I saw he was talking conspiracies by the government, doctors, drug manufacturers, vaccine manufacturers, etc. That's paranoia at it's best and carrying things a little too far. The government also has conspiracies to keep us in the dark about alien visitors and UFO's. Why is one different than the other? No one will ever be able to put up a concrete arguement against what he says because people that do this have an answer for everything. I find it hard to believe that he does not get paid for lectures. Do you have any proof that the people attending his lectures did not have to pay to attend the lecture? I'm not sure what you are asking about Vitamin D3. I am taking it because UC patients are often low on the vitamin and it does supposedly help ward off colon cancer, which UC patients get in higher abundance than the average population. Your assertion that vaccinations cause more harm than good is totally unfounded and without any real proof. Oh yeah, I forgot, I am a victim of the conspiracy. Penicillins and other antibiotics have saved millions of people even though they can also cause problems too. Looking at the total picture though antibiotics have been far more valuable than any problems they contribute to. Same goes for vaccines. Any sensible person isn't going to believe the big conspiracy thing.

I hear you Gary and again I understand the skepticism. This probably isn't the appropriate area to get into a full on debate about some of the points he makes in the video, but thankfully, whether he is correct in some of his "conspiracy" type theories, I still believe he can and does help people...my mom first saw him when she was dealing with a significant health problem approximately 20 years ago and that is why I took the leap and spent the money to fly out to see him.

While Dr. Tent does believe that many autoimmune diseases could be caused by vaccines, that's not how he approached UC with me and never mentioned vaccines at all when I saw him. I listed out the five causes of UC per Dr. Tent in my first post and clearly none of those would be linked to vaccines in any way.

He said my problem was a weak gallbladder...sounded absurd to me, but I can't argue with the results and placebo affect would be hard to fake here as I either have diarrhea or I don't.

While, realistically they probably don't have any cures, it makes much more sense non-the-less to not produce a cure when they can make more money endlessly on treatments.

Who cares if you or I die..For every person that dies due to an illness, 5-6 more people are born. We are, I dunno, 5-6 billion in the word currently and growing. It's not like we're going extinct.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that they withhold it, but I have no doubt that medical research focuses more on controlling disease than curing disease. Look at how little we know about true causes of so many diseases.

I saw him for about a year, I live in Michigan and my condition did not improve. He's so adhd! He thought he could cure me and I kept saying I'm not any better and so he threw more and more supplements at me! I'm allergic to yeast and SP supplements have a lot of that.

No need to apologize! Sorry to hear he wasn't able to help you. I may have gotten lucky since he told me during my appointment that gallbladder problems are the "best" cause of UC since they are the easiest to fix. Out of curiousity, what did he say the cause of your UC was and in what year did you see him?

Thanks for the info. I've already seen him and the results have been truly life changing thus far. You can see my updates earlier in the thread if you are interested. Not sure if its the gallbladder supplements or the gastrex/okra pepsin combo but something is most definitely working. Did he ever have you take those two supplements (gastrex & okra pepsin)?

So in my never ending quest to solve my UC problem, I've stumbled upon some interesting facts.

I've had a modest return in symptoms in recent days when I started taking fish oil. As soon as I stopped, my symptoms reversed and I was back in remission. (This is the second time that upon starting fish oil, my symptoms got worse, first time was 4 months ago) In addition, my rectal pain has continued to decline as time goes by.

This provides some support that I really do have a gallbladder issue that is causing my UC, as crazy as that may sound. The other fat that I eat a TON of is coconut oil, but that has never bothered me as its nothing but short and medium chained fatty acids (read easy on the digestive system/gallbladder) whereas fish oil is long-chained and difficult to digest.

Also, slippery elm bark which I had found so incredibly helpful in the past (I no longer need to take it) is also helpful in soothing the gallbladder. This may explain why slippery elm is helpful in some but not in others. No doubt it also helps because it is an emolient, but maybe the gallbladder link is why some people respond so fantastically to it?

Dr. Tent suspects that many in this country are living with gallbladder problems. High sugar, highly acidic diets (i.e. red meat, refined carbs) do contribute to gallbladder issues so this makes sense given the Americanized diet many of us eat and it is evidenced by how many gallbladders we remove in this country (darn shame too that our "fix" is organ removal, pathetic imho).

Of course, I'm not saying that my fish oil or slippery elm anecdotes prove anything conclusively, far too many variables to make such an absurd conclusion...but I just am trying to figure out a way to have my fantastic results help others that struggle with this disease.

Some of the things that Dr. Tent uses to diagnose a gallbladder problem.
- Bloating/gas
- Gurgling in the intestines
- Yellowing of skin (hard to self diagnose since its subtle)
- Eating peanut butter causes digestive discomfort
- Eating high fat meals in general causes digestive discomfort
- Hemmoroids/rectal pain (note that the nerves in the gallbladder tie directly to the end of the rectum)

In addition to the above, have fish oil supplements bothered you or similarly, do high fat meals in general bother you? Conversely, has slippery elm dramatically helped you?

No doubt, gallbladder correlating with UC seems absurd as some of the comments in this thread clearly portray...but people that first thought that the earth was round are nuts too, right? :)

Anyway, this post has no real purpose except for me to ramble about my continued obsession with figuring out the root cause of my UC. At first I thought that Dr. Tent's claim that it was my gallbladder was unlikely, but the more time that goes by, the more I read, and the more I think back to what supplements helped and hurt me...the more I think he *might* be on to something.

But one thing is for SURE...my dramatic improvement and symptom alleviation are REAL...I try every day to think about a way to use my results to help other people with their UC, but there really is no easy answer. Telling people to fly to see Dr. Tent is costly, time consuming...and as therearemiracles would vouch to, may not even work for you at all.

For those that think based on this post that it could be gallbladder...maybe give my regimen a shot. If you don't want to buy them through Dr. Tent's website, buy the supplements on amazon (only some are available there) or through your own naturopathic doctor. My detailed regimen is outlined in two posts earlier in this thread.

When I was diagnosed with UC, they found I had a stone in the mouth of my galbladder. my GI immediately dismissed it... If this is the issue behind my UC, I'm going to have a field day...

It's funny that I stumbled across this posting. I live in Michigan and went to see him just about a week ago. I am also being treated for a gallbladder issue (which has in turn caused intestinal inflammation). My symptoms seem to slowly getting better. Some days are better than others (probably due to diet), but things are looking good. Greenuc, I'm curious how long it takes to see full results from Dr. Tent's course of treatment? Any other tips for what not to eat while being on this type of program? Thanks for the insight.
