in the hospital with c.diff

i'll definitely try the heating pad. i feel like i have a golf ball on my elbow. i have to give blood again on wednesday so there's no way they are using that spot.

i'm super sensitive to everything right now and keep getting hives. i pet my cat and dog and now i have hives all over my arms and around my eyes (should not have scratched my eyes after petting them!). i also told the nurses that i am very lactose intolerant but it seems the probiotics they were giving me 3x a day had lactose, whey, and casein in them. no wonder i had hives all the time. also got huge hives on my legs from the LARGEST ENEMA IN THE WORLD during my abdominal ct scan. i couldn't drink the "make your insides glow" drink so they came in the room with a gallon-sized enema to shoot up my butt. the probe was so large that i was like "you're putting that where? and am i awake?" i ended up not being able to hold it in so it drained everywhere on the ct scan table. they were freaking out at me and yelling at me saying i ruined the test. whatever. but the liquid ended up all over my legs- hence the hives.

I had that Abdomial Ct done once and boy oh boy, that was the most painful thing ever! The way they did it here was a long tube that was connected to the bag and they filled me up till I honestly felt like I would pop. If I could have possibly leaked that stuff out, I would have because I felt like I would pass out from the pain! That is on the list of NEVER AGAIN! LOL

meredith and pmedic, when they told i had to hold in an enema, i thought it was just a FLEET enema. the doctor didn't explain the huge size of it and the largest butt probe i've ever seen. i guess they don't wanna scare you!!! but yeah, they kept saying roll this way, that way, you're clenching too much, you're pushing it out, you ruined it by not drinking the barium so you have to do this, blah blah blah. i was like great that's fine. i ruined it. just let me go to the freaking bathroom!! i was ready to hop up and poop in the trash can because they seriously wouldn't take it out of my butt. it definitely was cruel and unusual punishment!!

Joanna glad youre home! Get better quick. Btw hives are from the dog, kitties are awesome.

Thank god I had a nurse that understood that if I cant hold it then I CANT HOLD IT!
