Hi,

So since I'm so new to all of this - quick question.  I've been on Pred (Monday was a week 40 mg) and the others for about 2 1/2 weeks.  Today I'm feeling extremely dizzy, my left hand is tingling too.  Thankfully I have a nurse at my work, my BP was 118/70 - so I know it's not that.

Any thoughts?  Should I be concerned?  I'm seeing my Dr. tomorrow morning anyway.

Hmmm I don't recall ever really being "dizzy" while on pred, or while tapering. Could be a number of factors, best to see that nurse about it, I'm sure it's nothing too serious, good luck.

What are your BM's like? Could be you're still a bit anemic?

Well. I had a "good" Friday-Monday - only 3 (soft), and pretty much very little pain. Today not so much, up to 6, (soft), lots of pain and feel just "off". Got results of B12 (200) starting shots tomorrow, and Vitiman D is at 13. Also very sad today, found myself at my desk at work starting to cry 3x today? UGH

Hehe, the cry is definitely the pred! Messes with my emotions too.

How is your hemoglobin? Any blood in the BM? Maybe you're just plain tired, with this disease we don't have as much energy as regular folk. The B12 should help with the energy and the stress.

Not sure about hemoglobin, no blood since last Thursday, before that is was. Every time for about 3 weeks. (At 10-15 a day).

Then it still could be the anemia. Are you dizzy when getting up or all the time? Is it really bad?

worse when getting up, but I type all day -- so sometimes when I look-up fast too, almost like I can't catch my breath (sounds crazy I know)... It's better this afternoon then this morning. I take my pred at lunch, could that be why?

Could still be the BP. When I stand up too fast i get dizzy (not now but has happened when anemic)

Maybe, although it was normal? I will tell Dr. tomorrow when I go, thanks again so much Madcat25. This is all very confusing and scary at first. Helps to know I have this forum to come to.

The b-12 shots should help a lot with the dizziness, and once your vitamin D gets up in a more normal range you shouldn't feel so tired and sad. Pred is just exacerbating all of these emotions. It sounds like you're getting the right care. I hope you feel better soon.
