Hi Sherry...I didn't realise you were going through such a deep depression. Welcome back to the forum...it's good to hear you're feeling better.
There are many issues regarding attacks and name-calling, ganging (either against or in support of members), etc. But remember that the personal issues with those we've come to know and realise (and won't change) (or come to a mutual understanding) doesn't compare to those who come here to declare cures or are whining/calling foul in the second post. The motivation of the newest member is obvious and attempts to create chaos on purpose.
They're a dime a dozen, some generated by bots, others not. Recycled "members", etc.
It's an issue that will never rest or be agreed upon. We have a right to agree or disagree.
name calling, deep derogatory digs and bullying...different issue, and can be dealt with through moderators and/or admin. I have no problem to put in an alert to admin if I deem issues out of hand..whether I comment in a thread or not.
Support comes in many ways....not always agreed upon by some either...We cannot fit into a perfect mould of empathy, sympathy, etc. Skeptisism is healthy as is pessimism...but there is a balance and shouldn't be determined or labeled by one post or thread.
We all have responsibility, we can ask for clarification if something isn't clear, and we all have bad days of how we feel, act or respond. But if things are inappropriate...we should be taken to task for it and acted upon according to the forum/site rules/regulations. But not everyone who enforces those rules has good days without flaws.
You're not being overly sensitive....you're being affected by threads that were extreme given your own situation, perspective and personality in general. Absolutely understandable, but things won't vastly change because of that reason alone.
I always appreciate your honesty and venting....it comes at a good time.
