My 8 year old had a flare in Jan and spent 5 days in hospital for IV steroids. She came home on 25mg and eventually her symptoms disappeared, thank God! She was finally done weaning the steroids last Wednesday and we were so happy that she was still doing well and her symptoms were gone, her moon face even started to go down. However she has has 2 poops today with a small amount of blood in them. I'm heart broken.

what else is she taking besides prednisone? usually most people's symptoms come back as they taper prednisone or get off of it. she needs a back up med or plan (supplements, diet change) so she doesn't immediately flare again.

She is on Pentasa 500mg, two pills twice a day and 75mg azothioprine. Also remi infusions every 6 weeks.

Wow she is on quite a bit poor thing. Have you tried rectal meds?
