Iv been in remission a little over a year on asacol (2400mgs). Most mornings I have a BM right when I get up at 7:30 or 8 AM, then after an hour or so I have a second BM, and maybe a 3rd now n then, no D, no mucus, pretty much the same every morning...But once in a wile My stomach will wake me up at 6 AM (no urgency) and steer me toward the bowl for a BM, again, no D or mucus, just a BM. Im wondering if season change, or stress might be triggering some IBS or something. Usually I wake up before my colin, but once in a wile my colin will wake me up with a very slight stomach upset and the colin ready to evacuate, but not with urgency...Just wondering if any of u guys ever have this going on...

Could be season change, could be stress, could be both, could be UC. I don't want to burst your bubble but what exactly makes you think you are in remission? Personally I think IBS is a bunch of bull. Doctors don't even know what it is. They know what UC is. They know what Crohns is. If you are having IBD symptoms but don't see any evidence of IBD they make up this disease called IBS to use as a scapegoat diagnosis because they can't tell you what's wrong with you.

No bubble to burst here, Iv been dealing with this illness for 30 years now, I consider remission to be not bleeding, no mucus, only having a BM 2 times a day, no weight loss, little to no pain, Eosinophils levels normal, normal hemoglobin levels, and a host of other things that amount to remission, to me anyway...Already been hospitalized with this near dead, so I have an idea what remission looks like from my point of view...Im Im real grateful to be doing this well so far, so this is what I call remission...
