Vsl #3 diarrhea

Started vsl#3....took whole packet first night before bed and had diarrhea until late afternoon. Took half packet last night diarrhea again this am.

On another thread was told bacteria die off can cause diarrhea and to stay on it! I'm still on it, but can't leave the house. My question is how long does the diarrhea last, or how long do I keep going before I say my system can't handle it?

Sometimes you just don't know what is going on. VSL doesn't usually effect people that way. It could be bad bacteria die off or it could be that VSL just doesn't agree with you and never will. Only time will tell.

I am currently on 35mg pred, cortifoam, dicyclomine, multivitamin, ca, and vit d. Been on my first flare since nov, dx feb.

Blood and mucous with formed stool throughout the day, have not had diarrhea like this since got off the asacol and lialda. I take it at night before bed. First night took whole packet second night 1/2 packet...not sure what I am going to do tonight. Humph.

Started testing for to start remicade last week, supposed to start next week, don't want to but proctitis not responding to pred, and seem to be getting worse instead of better.
