Just go on the fibre supplements and probiotics...start slow. Even if my doc said "nah, don't bother to either", I'd use them anyway. You just have to find what can work, and I've found that the capsules are best since I can take them with me when I eat out too. I also can control how many and increase slowly, but one can do that with powder as well.
But, you being here for almost a year...I'm sure it's been suggested most times you've been presenting questions.
Regarding the oral 5ASA...there are many you can try. Ask for another so that you can get on one asap.
I'd just suggest that you totally say no to the Delzicol.
