So, many of you have had metametrix stool tests. Often there will be normal gut bacteria in very high percentages in your gut. Doctors and NDs will gloss over anything on the test that is not classified as "Opportunistic bacteria" especially E.coli since there is another section of the test specifically talking about
e.coli 057:h7 under the "pathogenic bacteria" section.
But if you see E coli sky high or predominant, that is something you want to address. They dont type all the e.coli strains but we have alot more pathogenic strains then we are aware of floating around causing chronic disease. If you have an immune response left you will likely see Lactobacillius also high.. if you dont youll see a very low or none found reading for lactobacillus
