I don't have an opinion but rec. do not buy psyillium seed that is unpowdered/unground.
I bought the seed thinking I could grind it in our coffee grinder and it is impossible to grind. After many minutes the little seeds aren't even scarred.

I only use Metamucil capsules (or the SuperStore brand), which is psyllium husk.

Probably best to go with one, try it...see how you feel.

Start slowly.

There are other types of fibre such as inulin or methylcellulose, or acacia powder, etc. But, I've never tried them.

I have two spoonfulls of wheat grass powder, im pretty sure this has a lot of fibre within it, does this have the same effect as pysllium?

I don't know if it's the same...I'd assume wheatgrass would be high in chlorophyll and cellulose have other benefits they tout. I know if horses eat a lot of new green grass they have lots of very messy green diarrhea...lol.

Maybe you can combine the two...each has different benefits possibly. You'll have to do the research or put out a separate thread question that will invite people to look and answer.

I haven't read the thread; it's too long, but for goodness' sake, DON'T use Psyllium. For one thing, it swells and causes your abdomen to bloat. It's also so fibrous that it's like raking your gut.

Psyllium causes me acute distress. Instead, I take a little tiny bit of Epsom Salts with water, or I use glycerin suppositories, which are perfectly harmless. You can also use enemas.

Get your fiber from food.
