I usually tell people that I'm recovering from some food poisoning and my stomach is still giving me problems, they can usually relate to that better than UC. Then I would use the bathroom if I needed to during the interview.
What I would do:
1. get some anti-spasm medicine for your colon (Levbid) this will help with some urgency and relax your colon a little.
2. Imodium the night before and 1 or 2 when I wake up and then another dose an hour before I went into the interview.
3. I usually do not eat 24 hours before and eat very litely up to 48 hours before.
4. I take gas-x/ simethicone to prevent gas from causing me urgency
5. I would probably do an enema in the morning and then use the toilet pretty soon after that. I'd probably try and do it again before I left my house.
Then I'd do the mind-over matter thing and tell my colon it's not going to bother me today and then I'd focus on the job interview.
If my UC was acting up bad right now I'd call my GI for some fast acting medicine like Predisone for a week or so, maybe even some hydrocortisone enemas too.
