Rowasa is awesome

Just wanted to encourage people to try rowasa if you haven't already. I was entering a mini flare with blood and loose stools. Stomach was gurgling like crazy. After 1 week on Rowasa my symptoms have gone away and back to normal. I've used Rowasa before and it worked.

Rowasa is relatively still new to me since I was only on oral meds for the past 4 years. If you are not allergic to mesalamine, you should try it. If you can get to the point where you can hold it in overnight, you hopefully will see results within a week. Sometimes I put it in at 4pm and hold it till the next morning. that seems to be more effective for me.

It makes sense if UC starts in the rectum. You kinda sweep UC's legs from under it, Karate Kid style. I know it's scary to squirt something up there but it's totally worth it.

Yep its a miracle drug for me too. Not everyone is so fortunate though.

Do you use it every day still? And are you in or close to remission?

Yes, I use it everyday (for a long time now). I am pretty much in remission or darn close. When things start to get a little uppity in there, I add Cortifoam for a little bit.
