What to do about severe stomach pain

Started flaring up at the end of september.

Around 3 weeks ago started getting stomach pain that would wake me up at night but not that bad.

Since last week it's been really severe. I just started taking UCeris for the flare and it made the blood go away the day after but the immense stomach pain is still there. It's like 24/7 and it hurts so bad.

Time to visit the doctor...could be all kinds of things.

If uceris is the first steroid you've taken for this flare it's possible that you have gotten reflux from it. What other meds are you taking? I agree with Katmom that you should call your GI.

First I agree with the others call Dr. Is the pain a cramping type or stabbing pain. And where is the pain. Middle of stomach or left sided, or right sided..etc..Rod

im on uceris as well and i have horrible stomach pains. its a couple of inches above my belly button and it literally makes me cry. i ended up in the hospital Thursday night because of how bad it had got. they found nothing wrong with me so they sent me on my way. starting to wonder if uceris is the cause.

Uceris did absolutely nothing for me as well. Not sure if it caused my abdominal cramps because they started before I was on it but they definitely didn't get rid of them. At the time I was on uceris I was also on 20mg of prednisone and I called my GI and told him I was in pain and they said the uceris was supposed to help that but he prescribed bentyl which also didn't work for me. Did absolutely nothing. I have since switched GIs and am doing MUCH better. I would definitely call your doctor and tell him or her the uceris isn't working.

I would assume its colon pain.. but who knows. Good luck
