I'm waiting to get Remicade, humira didn't work for me will Remi?

Hi You all know I tried Humira, it made me sooooo sick.

I'm just waiting for the nurse to call me in to do Remicade. I met with my GI yesterday. They are the same concept, I hope I have better luck with remicade.

I don't think anyone can tell you whether it will work for you but hopefully there is no harm in trying. Remicade does have a higher success rate of bringing on remission. How have you been feeling?

Remicade worked great for me right off the bat for the loading doses. Now I'm currently waiting 8 weeks between infusions while tapering off of pred and symptoms are starting to return :/ Haven't had blood in months, but it's back.

Hoping my GI will let me come in early for another infusion, it started out so promising for me.

I tried Remicade and it worked for me while Humira did not.

There are several folks around here who had luck with Remi when Humira didn't work.

I've been in remission on Remicade for close to 2.5 years so far.

The short answer is, it's impossible to know but I hope it does!

I tried Reno first as it has a higher success rate. Well it didn't work for me and during the my second and third infusion I started vomiting. The docs think I built up anti bodies that quick. We didn't do the Prometheus test. So now I'm trying Humira, I've only done the 4-shot loading dose and wasn't really expecting much as I'm planning on going the surgery route. Unbelievably as it may be I've been steadily feeling better. I'm nowhere near remission but at least I'm not pooping my pants.

The colon must have become self-aware and is trying to behave...I think it's too late for that nonsense though. Lol.
