No, none of the options are good. Sennosoids although good to relieve constipation, not a good idea to use them unless you know what is causing it. It can have a pretty detrimental effect.
Miralax, not good for long term use either. It is known to cause Pancreatitis. FDA has a page on their website. It is not 'bad enough' to alert masses. The decision is in your hands.
Have you tried Magnesium Citrate? Unless you have cardiac issues, I would give it a go, along with some good quality fiber like psyllium seed powder. Ramp up Mg-Citrate doses in steps of 200mg slowly (like 1X a day, 2X a day, 3X a day etc) and you should see some effect in a month or so. Watch your diet, exercise etc. I have constipation (very minor, still it bothers me) as a side effect of Verapamil (for migraine), Mg-Citrate 2X a day helps me maintain my Mg levels and keep my intestines going when I am in remission. Psyllium seed powder is good as a broom.
