Thoreau:
After every test under the sun, which you have had too, numerous throat infections including ebv, and having tonsils out, and numerous antibiotics including levaquin, and seeing every kind of doc I could think of, the docs told me I had fibromyalgia.
Besides the sleep aspect of fibro, the other couple things that helped me get through the work week (I had a very very stressful financial job) were massage therapy, hottub, chiropractor, gym excercise program, frequent stretching of muscles at work, a special supportive chair at work, cut back on hours when I could. Sitting at a computer /desk most of the day put considerable stress on all muscles which were so strained and tight at the end of the day, the massuese (sp?) and chiropractor were amazed.
I found when I was off work for any period of time (i.e for 6 weeks after surgery) when I ate well, slept well and excercised, the pain subsided substantially.
Fibo and CFS are very real conditions. Besides the fatigue and pain, there are many other manifestations of these diseases. You are very young to have to deal with this and UC and IBS and whatever else. Hope you can get things under control soon.
