My holiday luck!

So with timing being a bit on the touchy side (have family coming to stay with us in a week) I need to get this flare under control ASAP. Patience isn't a virtue of mine at the best of times, and the middle of a moderate-severe flare is not the best of times.

But both of my doctors were on holidays until the end of next week. No one on walk-in would give me prednisone because it is a "course" treatment, and not a standardized dose.
I tried calling my GI again today on the off-chance, and his secretary answered! She was in doing some tidying in the office, and he will be in either today or tomorrow for an hour or two to do some charting, so she is gonna get him to call me.

I HATE oral prednisone, but I will take it if it means I get this flare under control. Heck, I will take it AND do the pentasa AND the cortifoam if I have to... but I just don't want to get to next week and be stuck in an apartment with 4 people (2 of whom don't understand my IBD) and 1 bathroom.

Houston, we have Prednisone! And a follow up! YAY!

I told my husband about the Prednisone, and I was so excited. He was confused, because Pred is so horrible. I said to him to take it as a mark of how sick I feel that I am excited to take something as wretched as Pred, if it means I won't be flaring anymore.
