Limitless, my husband is very allergic to cats but I love them. I don't know much about hypoallergenic cats (and no I'm not interested in a hairless cat, LOL). I've heard that (aside from the hairless breed), no cats are truly hypoallergenic. What has been your experience - you can tolerate them well?
Haha, yeah, I'm definitely not a hairless cat person either.
I'm not severely allergic...just get really itchy, watery eyes and my sinuses start acting up. I don't have asthma or any respiratory reaction though. If your husband is severely allergic, he might not be able to tolerate them, but yes, I was fine with my Bengal. That was the only hypoallergenic cat I've ever been around.
When my siblings and I were little, we wanted to get a kitten. My parents finally caved and took us to see some kittens. We're all holding and playing with the kittens and we are all 4 sneezing, sniffling, and rubbing our eyes. My sister has asthma so she was wheezing on top of it all. So obviously my parents said we had to leave without a kitten because we were all allergic, and we all 4 were like "nooo! We aren't allergic...we just have colds." Haha, even my wheezing sister tried to convince my parents it wasn't because of the kittens.
Needless to say, we didn't get a kitten at that time.
