The anxiety never disappears for me, it is something that lingers in the back of my mind during remission, and it is always heightened during trips or vacations. When I was a little kid over a decade ago, I would wish my little heart out in hopes that trips would go on forever. Now, I can't wait for them to end before they start, especially when I go to foreign countries or travel with people my age who would not understand how to help me deal with a sudden flare up. The saddest part is that the anxiety sometimes develops into obsessive behaviour, and I find myself readjusting things at home unnecessarily quite often. What helps most is yoga and meditation, especially after a cardio workout and extended stretching. It deserves an hour of your day, and I recommend it. The worst part about anxiety is its vicious cycle, it is born from stress and it multiplies your stress levels, thereby increasing the susceptibility for a flare up. The mind controls the body to an extent beyond our grasp, and it is important to work towards the soundest mind you could possibly have. We all deal with this anxiety, and the trick to overcoming it is in facing it and attempting to fight it off to the best of your ability.
Wishing you the best health and happiness. Be easy and stay calm.
