Marijuana + Medicine interaction?

I was thinking of trying (vapourising/eating) marijuana after reading so many positives reviews about how it helps calm their UC. However, I'm a bit concerned about how it will interact with my medicines (if at all)?

I currently take: asacol (3 a day), alendronic acid (once a week) and finished taking budesonide about a week ago.

Thoughts/facts please?

It'll be fine. No interaction issues. I do it occasionally just for my own leisure and its never caused an issue. I do find that it can help calm down UC a little as well.

it manages symptoms for some, not the underlying UC. maybe splitting hairs, but just saying.

most effect of asacol is topical, so not much chance of interaction (IMO)

A bit like steroids I guess then? Cept without as many dangerous side effects.

Id think you'd be fine. Id love me some medical marijuana for slowing down the guts (still not totally proven) and pain relief. Or at least a leisure activity to just relax and not think about all this crap.

Pretty much impossible to drink so I've been feeling emotions full force over here for a while, lol.

I've done it without any crazy adverse side effects. I am not saying you should or that I do it currently but I did in the past.

Would it be better to have low THC weed? Yes, I know, that takes away from the trip, but some may not want that.

I tried it, and it worked wonders for me. There were times when a sip of water would cause me to have brutal episodes vomiting. It was the only thing that could help me keeping down any kind of food. It never interacted with any of my medications. I don't have access to medical m anymore, but I also don't need it right now.

I am having good results with Marijuana but my doctor is against giving prescriptions for it at all to anyone. How do I get a prescription for it in Atlantic Canada?

I'm in Alberta k8milller, and according to my GI you need 2 doctors to get approval for medical mj.

Seriously, if you follow the work done by that old canadian dude, then the more THC the better. His way is to have only the THC.
Eating it is cool, but it is hard to judge the right dose so you can still function, and the time delay can encourage you to take more, which is not a good idea unless you have a day to veg out.
A good quality vapourizer is the simplest way to go.

And even if it doesnt change your symptoms you will feel a whole lot better about life...................................apparently ;-)
