Quick history:
I was diagnosed in May 2013, where I first was introduced to my GI. He did my colonoscopy (spent about 25 minutes as I think he only looked at my large intestine) and he diagnosed me with ulcerative pancolitis.
Fast forward to September/October 2013 I moved away for school and changed GIs because of it. I ended up getting very sick while I was there (was either a huge flare or c. diff) so she did a colonoscopy (spent an hour and half, examining both my large and small intestine) and said my large intestine looked much better, not many ulcers and I was healing nicely and was going into remission for UC, so she ruled out the flare and treated me for c. diff (which worked amazing and I was 100%). Unfortunately I missed too much school and had to return home and to my original GI.
TODAY: Go to my GI (original one), as I have been kind of sick again lately (more puking than anything) and as we are asking about what could be wrong (my blood work has "never been better" according to him as we walk in) he says that my colonoscopy results from last time were "awful". I was super confused as my last GI said it looked fantastic and my mom saw comparison photos and agreed and said my LI looked more like the inside of your cheek as opposed to bleeding and pussing, all that fun stuff, like she saw on my original scope. My GI said that it didn't matter, and I was definitely not in remission and my UC is worse than ever according to the biopsy. I am not having worse symptoms at ALL from when I got diagnosed. Things are not sitting very well, but I am only having about 1-2 BMs a day. My GI did not have any pictures of my colon, just the written biopsy results which even my regular doctor said sounded pretty good to him. Also when we tried to ask him more about it because we were so confused, he just said "that's not the focus right now" and just wanted to talk about why I was nauseous/vomiting all the time and would not address my apparent huge UC flare anymore.
Other details: I know for a fact my GI now (the original one) does NOT LIKE the GI that did my second colonoscopy. He asked right away when I came home "how I liked her" and told us how she had an altercation with a few people and just got up and moved her practice away without telling anyone. It's so odd because he is such a professional, straight to the point older guy (he's Polish).
Does anyone know how you could appear super healthy but have active UC that's worse than when you were diagnosed? Or is my GI just pissed at the other one and doesn't believe her diagnosis?? Not sure why a professional would put my health on the line for that though, it seems unbelievable.
I might have missed some points, hopefully this makes sense, feel free to ask anymore questions. I'm just very confused as I am definitely not nearly as sick as I was back in May intestinal-wise, just having nausea/vomiting issues which I am getting a scope for at the end of February.
