Does anyone get cotton mouth? Man, my mouth always feels so dried out. I drink water and stuff like crazy. I have even used life saver peppermints. If so, what have you done to combat it.

You might want to ask your doc to test you for Sjogren's. This is another AI condition that we can sometimes get. But in the meantime, they have things at the pharmacy to help with the dry mouth.

Don't know where you live but if you live in the cold just the heat in your home turning on many times certainly doesn't help the situation.

My dental hygienist recently told me my high blood pressure med can cause dry mouth, don't know if that helps you or not.

Is your tongue coated in white even after you scrape it? Do you have more of it when you wake up in the am and notice it then also? This could be oral thrush from Candida. Have you been on antibiotics lately? What does your diet mostly consist of?

Yes my tongue is somewhat with little bumps. A.M. all the time. Yea at this time I'm on 2 different kinds of antibiotics at this time. I eat lots of different veggies.

Remember to hydrate. Sounds silly, but us with UC really need it, especially if you are having D. I try and have a bottle of water / juice with me at all times.

Antibiotics nearly always give me thrush, I usually just take one tablet..Diflucan, which clears it up...
