Hope it clears it for you. This could be why pred no good for you? I was told by GI that pred worsens c diff. Don't suppose you are under a team that would consider FMT?

I had C Diff last year. Hopefully the Vanco works for you- in my case it didn't kill the C-Diff, but I felt perfect while taking it.

I definitely think this is why you weren't getting better so I am happy you've found the culprit! I am hoping you get better from the c diff and the flare up symptoms very quickly :)

I have horrible side effects with the vanco right now bad nausea and cramping and still going to the bathroom 10+ a day. Does that mean the meds aren't working? I'm also in the middle of a flare up as well. 😞

That's what I keep telling my doctor that we should do and she says it's a last resort and wants to treat me with meds instead. So frustrating

Tenesmus is my only major issue. Still only producing diarrhea... a lot of mucous, little blood. My days are MUCH better. But after 6:30pm all bets are off and I can def feel my flare and the c diff. Nights have always been bad for me. And then mornings got bad. But this morning I was only up twice! I got 5hra of straight sleep! First time in a LONG time.

Tonight has sucked. But I am going to blame food choices. And get back to plain-er foods tmrw. Smoothies and buttered rice noodles. Mmmm.

The bad is still very bad... but the good is amazing. Its wonderful to feel pretty human again!

First day at work that I've only taken 1 poop my whole shift in... Oh... 5 months?!

Super awesome! Vanco seems to be helping.
Evenings/nights still sucky. But less sucky. Couple tenesmus non-poops. Bloating and some abdominal pain now too. Didn't eat too exciting... but seems any food in my guts after 7pm tends to upset my UC. But I live on second shift! bleh.

VERY excited for the less bathroom trips. So excited to have less pain all day! Like... no pain! Except during poopin.

You're only 3 days in.

I took several rounds of Vanco with a week or two off of it in between rounds (it took that long to test positive again), and it took a few days once I started it again for me to feel good.

I know it's hard but you have to be patient. You're not going to go from very sick to 100% in a few days. The process to getting better can be a slow road of improvement over time and it's frustrating but you will get there. prednisone made me eat so much. I hate that evil drug!!

Im hanging. Gotta be positive! Im trying :) just gets hard.

Time for a new anti-depressant ;)
