I know it affects me when I break the rules - although rule breaking has never been a problem for me
just one more thing that might help -

My number one food combing rule is never eat food with hair.
karma's gonna get me, cuz I'm queen of typos myself.
I do love reading about
older folks staying really fit because that is my goal as well.

Thanks for an interesting link. I've never done much food-combining on purpose but my gut has probably been dictating some of this. Any friend of Jack Lalanne is no dummy.
I do disagree strongly with his 3 principles below. Seems to blame people for getting sick ("earning disease") and I do not agree, some diseases manifest without a child or adult doing anything to make that happen.
Dr. Pickering’s three basic principles of health are:
1.You are automatically healthy, by design, and sick only by default
2.You don’t catch disease; you “earn” it, as it stems from “crud in the blood from being drunk with junk,” as he says
3.You get well by what comes out of you, not by what goes into you.

Surprised to see this on Mercola's site.. he usually sticks with psuedo-science at least, and food combining has no evidence scientifically whatsoever. In fact, it seems the human race has survived precisely because it can eat anything in any combo.
HOWEVER, I myself have found good results when following the regime.. don't ask me why, but I find it infinitely easier to digest food when done in the "combining" rules.. likely due to lighter meal loads and less caloric intake probably. Not sure of how many have followed it religiously for long periods. Seems like one of those 'certain to binge/fail/break' diets.

Food combining is a long outdated myth. Completely unnecessary.

Soy, yea that's funny.
I've been doing food combining for several years now and it works.
