Since I was curious and new to biologics, I thought I'd just post my finding every day to Simponi in case anyone is curious...
Took my loading dose, 200mg last night. ZERO needles stick felt, for those of you who are concerned. However, for those of you who will use the auto inject, make sure you hold the button down and it against your leg for about
10 seconds until you hear the second click. It's so painless you almost think nothing happened! Wait till you hear that second click, THEN remove it from the spot.
No rash, no burning, nothing......However....you all knew this would happen.....about
3 hours later I felt very flu like and achy, no big deal. So, I took some Tylenol and went to bed. Woke up later feeling better, took some more and fell back asleep. Not a big deal.
Woke up this morning, a little pale still a bit achy. But......But.....as soon as I go to the bathroom, Ill let you know how I feel....!!!!!!!!!
Yeah that's right, I haven't gone to the bathroom yet!......LOL. I don't care if it's coincidence or not, but I'll take it.

I actually am doing well...no blood today at all, it stopped immediately.
Stomach ache is 1/3 of what it usually is, only used the bathroom 3x today...coincidence????
Will know more tomorrow. Don't get upset if it hits you after a good morning, everyone's body is different. Even if you get 6 hours relief, its 6 hours you probably wouldn't have gotten. Stick with it.

Day 2, still ok..not too bad, bleeding still stopped. Stomach aches still about
1/2 of what they were, and when I do get them they stop pretty quick without having to to go to the bathroom...nice.
Not looking for a miracle, but certainly not getting worse. Aches and flu like symptoms stopped. Not at all too bad!
Actually went to the bathroom today and didn't have watery diarrhea....whats up with that?!?....lol

This is day THREE...and dare I say, I woke up this morning, and I feel...remarkably better. It's 1:00, and I have not taken anything for a stomach ache. I feel an on and off MILD dull ache, but over all...I am serious...it's about
25% of what I felt before I took the Simponi Wednesday evening.
I feel a bit optimistic. I know it will be up and down, but this is the longest I have felt some relief in months.
I also...have NOT gone to the bathroom yet nor felt the urge to!..I actually even farted!!!....LOL

Well.....I am pleased to announce, 72 hours ago I took my loading dose of Simponi. Today I had a fairly good day actually, not too much discomfort and no bathroom trips.
Tonight.....I just had a bit of a stomach ache.......and am surprised to say I pooped fairly normally, no blood or discomfort, for the first time in god knows how long!
Life.......... is good. Let's hope for a repeat tomorrow, and that this is a sign for all the rest of us.

I'm jealous. I want to fart.
My insurance needs to do an override because simponi cost has gone up and is now above my annual allotted about
insurance covers. Or something. She said it could take 7-10 business days. I've been flaring for 8 weeks and my doctor prescribed simponi 2 weeks ago. Can I cry now?

Simponi Day 5..
I woke up this morning, and I felt something was wrong, I sort of panicked until I realized I knew what was wrong....
I didn't have a stomach ache nor did I have to poop....!!!!!!
I drove to work, I'm sitting at my desk eating a Oreo double stuff (most food doesn't really affect my disease process, I'm very lucky) and some OJ, and I STILL don't have to poop and I have no stomach ache!!!!
What the holy hell? Can this be our answer?????? I know I will have ups and downs on this, but over all the last 4 days have given me glimmers of hours of ups and downs, (increasingly more ups) that have been getting longer. But this is the first day I have woken up feeling like I am almost normal and it is holding on....wow!!!
I also read an interesting article on relaxations of muscle groups, stating NOT to leave out your stomach muscles. We have a tendency to walk around all day with our stomach muscles tensed up, and that does not help our overall problems. I really didn't notice that until I focused on relaxing my stomach during those times I was listening to the music......it's helped a lot, a REAL lot. I concentrate on that during the day to relax my stomach when I am sitting down and not having any problems...relax your stomach and feel how good it feels.
Here's to a good rest of the day for me and the rest of us!

I need to relax my stomach! My hugest flare trigger is stress, and as sad as it is it say, my mother is the triggerer that can do me in! I will learn how to relax my stomach. I already have to force my shoulders down and am amazed at how close they get to my head! I probably look like despicable me! :)

Day 6.....woke up feeling well....again! Didn't need to go to the bathroom when I got up, what a feeling. That's been the biggest difference so far that I have noticed; the morning effect its has. Mornings were usually the worst for me. It seems to 'temper' the entire day for me.
Pooped a few times, no diarrhea, not too solid, but I'll take it. No mucous, NO blood, but no pain either. Mild on and off high colon discomfort, but I have a lot on my mind today as well. I do feel a lot better today stomach wise, but I do also feel a but run down, possibly from the Simponi.
Over all? Very happy with the way this is all going. I keep forgetting that it's only been less than a week on it and it's been such a difference. Looking forward to each day doing a bit better, and to my booster shot in 8 more days.

Sorry, but we all know how exciting things like this can be....
Let this be the start of hope for all of us....YAY!!!!!!!!!
