Coffee similarly "speeds" things up for me, but I recently cut it out completely and noticed it had a great impact on my anxiety, particularly in the morning time. I always thought I wasn't that sensitive to it, but I feel more balanced without that jolt. I do still drink tea but try to opt for either caffeine free or the lower end of the caffeine spectrum.
