I was advised to take aspirin, baby aspirin after convincing my neurologist to allow me off blood thinners 3 months early post-stroke. I told him that was not a good idea considering UC so I take curcumin which helps both ( blood thinner, anti-inflammatory ).
However aspirin is in the headlines as a tool to prevent colon cancer something everyone with UC has to consider.

Aspirin has also been shown to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer and colorectal polyps. Although taking aspirin daily has some promising benefits, it can also raise the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
