Pancreatitis and UC

I believe 6MP is the culprit. I did not get pancreatitis while taking 6MP for several years, but I know some who did.

Pancreatitis can also happen from blockage caused by gallstones. Have you had any issues with your gallbladder?

I had a couple bouts of Pancreatitis about 7-10 months before I was ever diagnosed with UC. They had a lot of trouble figuring out what was causing it. After many tests and a hospital say, they decided there was some "sludge" in my gallbladder that could be causing the pancreas problems, and my gallbladder was removed. 4-5 months after that surgery I was diagnosed with UC.

I was never convinced that the gallbladder really WAS my problem, but the Pancreatitis hasn't come back either. There IS such a thing as auto immune induced pancreatitis, which I suspected even before my UC diagnosis. All the docs I mentioned it to said it was possible, but almost impossible to test for accurately and just left it at that.

Auto immune diseases often travel in groups, and I know for sure I have UC, Raynauds Syndrome and some mystery inflammation issues with one of my legs that I think could be auto immune related. Would make sense to me that the pancreas could also be involved. My GI says he doubts that is the case, but my GP says she would be more inclined to think there IS a link between all of my issues.
