Salofalk Granules vs Asacol tablet for left sided colitis?

Hello, I've been using salofalk tablets for my left sided uc but it isn't very effective. In my country, only salofalk, asacol and pentasa are available. No colazal. Which is better for distal disease, Salofalk granules or asacol tablets? I found this study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21923715 but it compares salofalk granules and salofalk tablets; not asacol tablets.

Not sure what country you are in but I can get both Salofalk and Pentasa where I am based in Europe. Both are available in both tablet and granules. My doc says that one is designed for right sided release and the other for left side release. Perhaps you could ask your GI and ask which would travel to your left sided uc.

(ps salofalk granules taste good - pentasa granules taste awful !!)

I use Pentasa granules, and I have left sided UC, and I seem to be in symptomatic remission, I also use Pentasa suppositories.
