I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis by my doctor a little over 2 years ago. The pathologist report did not support what the doctor saw.
Last March, I was a GI specialist for the first time. He recently did another colonoscopy, taking many biopsies. He said he could not see any sign of colitis in my colon. The latest biopsies he took do not show colotis now nor in the past.
I used to take a lot of ibuprofen...A LOT!!!
I have found online quite a bit of info on misdiagnosed colitis due to how colons looked after ibuprofen abuse (abuse is my word). The colon can look just like colitis, even crohns because the sores can be spotty instead of just one spot or area.
I have no doubt I did this to myself. I don't blame my original doctor because he kept telling me I should see a specialist.
So, that's my story. I see the GI May 14th. I will see what he suggests. He did say I have bile adhereing to my colon wall. I do not have a gallbladder, and it may be my body is not processing the bile.
