I would heavily advise against eating canned or tinned beans, as many contain toxins like BPA. They are not prepared or soaked properly and most people (including non-IBDers) will get horrible gas. Believe me, taco bell cleans people out pretty darn well haha. Whole foods has a nice selection of affordable beans for 2.99 - black, pinto, etc.
You have to soak the beans for up to 24 hours and then rinse. After rinsing you cook them for an hour or so, or until they reach the desired softness. Add in salt, garlic and other anti-inflammatories and then all is good. :)
