3 months post FT via colonoscopy

Hi Everyone,

Wanted to share that I am still symptom free after my FT.  Several people have reached out to me off the forum regarding FT and how frustrated they are that it is not available as a treatment option.

I know that it is not the solution for everyone - but I am very grateful that I have had this 3 months and feel so lucky that I had a dr. willing to do the FT.  Everyday I pray this is the way it is now.  I am still taking 2 Lialda a day.

Stacy, that's really cool! I live in the Finger Lakes area, and since you had this done in Rochester, I imagine that if the mesalamines fail me, I'll seriously consider FT, since there's a doc nearby that will do it!

What was the doctor's name, again, and do you think he'd be willing to perform it with others?

That is fantastic. I've contacted numerous docs that won't do it for my daughter, even the one that is trying to get a clinical trial approved. Were you ever on Imuran or Remicade prior to FT, or only Lialda? It seems they are not yet looking for trial participants on Imuran or Remicade.

Hi. I have never taken imuran or any biologics.
@fruitgirl. Can u send me an email [email protected]. The dr. Is Jon Goldstein. Depending on ur situation he may be willing to talk to you about FT.
I am on my phone and have never used it to respond to HW.

Stacy, that's awesome you're doing so well. You're really lucky you were able to have a doc do your FT and that it's kept you in remission. I hope it lasts forever. I've done over 20 transplants and it's gotten me close to remission but not completely there. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Hi Stacy, I was glad to read about your success with fts nearly 3 years ago. I hope you are keeping well! Could you please let us know whether you are still symptom free? Your experience can be very helpful to and appreciated by many people on the board who are contemplating using this method. We are collecting information regarding this technique on my new thread.

Sharron, has you or anyone else tried to email Stacy using the email she provides on her profile. If she is healthy and doing well it is very likely is not participating in any patient forums anymore.
