My daughter was doing fine for the last 2 months, now 2 weeks past her 3 rd shot she is seeing blood this weekend.
Wondering if it is failing or maybe shots need to be moved closer?

Any experience with this ?

I would love to hear about people's opinions on it too. I've seen a few people mention less than stellar results. I wonder if anyone is doing great on this drug? Perhaps only the ones having trouble come here. I wish your daughter luck.

I would say if you saw some results in the beginning then its worth trying to move up the next shot. I personally never saw any results with simponi and moved my shots closer together and after four months and having to go back on prednisone I called it quits. Now hoping vedolizumab will do the trick.

Almost sounds to me like she was also tapering down on pred at the same time as doing Simponi and as she tapered to a lower dose on pred, her symptoms returned because either the Simponi wasn't working or hasn't yet had time to work. Just a guess.

i take simponi, too, but it does not work on its own for me. i'd be flaring right now if i was still on just simponi + imuran. i started simponi when i was on prednisone and by the time i was tapering off, the simponi wasn't contributing like i had hoped.

i have my 7th shot next month.

My daughter has been on 6mp from the very beginning, she stayed on it through the Remicade year and the year of remission once remicade was stopped(so she got 2 years remission with remicade)She hasn't used prednisone yet, though there have been rectal meds with steroids through the years. I forgot she was taking Uceris for about 10 days before she began the simponi, that didn't help.. She responded
right away though to the Simponi.
Hope to moVe shot up, but it's a holiday weekend and she has to order it and have it shipped. Hope it works.

Like others we are waiting for the Vedolizumab. Hope it's really ready to go with insurance companies.
The Simponi was billed at $14,000 . It was covered by insurance, but it took weeks to get it after it was ordered.
